"The Brand New You" DONE -for now-

---Am I kool now? -FinaL---

For my Digital Illustration collage assignment.

The assignment is based on the article we read, called "The Brand New You", which talks about our society's obsession with brands and labels.

I don't think this came out too well... I had tons of headaches... such as layer management... I mean I used close to 40 layers... I think ^^;

"The Brand New You" WIP

----Am I kool now?-----

Work in Progress for an assignment for Digital Illustration called "The Brand New You". A collage assignment.

My style seems rather Jamie Hewlett-esqe in this picture... :P Oh well...

I like the Munny on her head... I really want one. :heart:

Apple Still Life-- digital

My first speed painting wasn't very speedy... ack :P

Another piece for Digital Illustration. We had to get really up close and personal to a piece of fruit (or vegetable) we picked and digitally paint it.

A lot of prep work went into this: 15 thumbnails, color and value studies... naa, I looks cool though.

I'm rather proud of this piece though I know I'm gonna get pwn'd by everyone else on Tuesday... ^^;

Bird Calls w/o BG sound

I actually just finished it this week! :P

Finally finshed! Well the animation portion is....

I'm going to be working with a Berklee student to add background sounds and possibly music to this animation. I'll put up that version when it's finished.

My second to last animation for my Animation III class is probably the most production heavy assignment I've done yet... :P

The assignment was to go to and create an animation based on an artist with sound found on the website. I picked "Birdcalls" (God knows why...) by photographer Lousie Laweler.

This assignment is about 1 minute and 30 seconds of hand drawn animation, full of composting, over layering movements, and 3 extremely annoying women making bird calls for no apparent reason.

The original animatic:

New year, new art... blah

My main major is Animation but I thought I'd take an Illustration course as well.

For my Digital Illustration assignment I started yesterday. We had to create a monster.

We were pretty much told to not think too much about creating it and just go with it... Unfortunately, I started thinking too much and couldn't come up with anything. :P

So thank you to my buddies Jasmine and Jelisa for making me get over myself, and telling me to scribble randomly with a Sharpie and some pens until came up with this... Knaarllli. My mom came up will the name :D

I actually like this a lot.

Blair Character Sheet: Final

Well... It's done...

I really shouldn't have spent so much time on this, as I am really killed for time... :P

Anyway, I hope my teacher likes it somewhat... that way I won't cry...

I'll be putting up the animation "So some Guy walks in a bar" (where Blair is from) hopefully soon, so you can see her in action.

He asked for a simple character sheet........

Why do I do this to myself!?!?!? ;

My Character Animation teacher asked for a simple character sheet and I go for the complicated color in Flash route...

...when I KNOW I am not the most computer savvy person when it comes to digital coloring... I mean that's why I'm taking digital illustration courses next semester... ^^;

Anyway here's my Work In Progress... Looks rather crappy...... :P

Animation In Progress- Bird Calls part 2- Characters

"Bird Chicks" the main characters for my upcoming animation, "Bird Calls"

The woman in the middle is based off the only picture I found of photographer, Louise Lawler. At least I think that's her... ^^;

The designs for the other two just popped into my head while drawing the Animatic (check the post below) so I decided to run with it...

Animation In Progress- Bird Calls part 1- Animatic

Found Sound Assignment: part 1

Agrggh... My second to last animation for my Animation III class is probably the most production heavy assignment I've done yet... :P

I HATE it...

Here's the Animatic, done in Flash. My teacher liked my sketchy-ness in Flash so much he insisted I do everything hand drawn with a pencil, on paper........... Damn It! >:(

I hope I can get this done before Winter Animation Reviews... And this isn't even my final assignment... *Cries*

NEW Animation! --- "Green"- Poetry Assignment

Animated and Narrated by me! :D

Please watch in High Quality-- If you can :)

Done in Oil Pastels. My fingers are still sore... ;__;

This is my first finished animation for the 2008 Fall semester at school.
The assignment was to take a poem and (duh) animate it.
The poem I picked was "Green" by D.H. Lawrence.

Enjoy!
